This video is from earlier in the year. The Raining Season is back in Sierra Leone, trying to bring aid to those same orphans...and they went back with bigger plans. They have not been allowed near the orphanage nor have they been allowed to provide the children with the aid they have available...the children have not eaten in 4 or more days. The conditions are incomprehensible.
God forgive us. These are YOUR children. How have we as your people allowed this?
I love The Raining Seasons verse on their blog:
...ONCE OUR EYES ARE OPENED WE CAN'T PRETEND WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. GOD, WHO WEIGHS OUR HEARTS AND KEEPS OUR SOULS, KNOWS THAT WE KNOW, AND HOLDS US RESPONSIBLE TO ACT. -PROVERBS 24:12
Feeling convicted? Me too. Change Me Lord. Continue to break my heart for these children and the millions more just like them...don't let me forget Lord. Children...precious children.
Sugar Momma & Big Daddy ~ Our marriage has surpassed all expectations, enjoying our life together - both the challenges and the opportunities, loving each other more every single day, loving the honor of raising up four of the most fabulous kids on Earth...of course we may be a tad biased :) who also consider bringing our children up in the Lord our most important job as parents...a task we do not take lightly.
Hunter ~ Likes to hunt, fish, camp and be outdoors. Can skate like a rock star :)
Faith ~ Likes shopping, reading and most importantly...socializing!! Soccer is totally her thang :)
Hope ~ Our Shangrao (Jiangxi) Sweetheart ~ loves soccer, being outdoors, hunting, fishing and anything that requires massive amounts of energy. Would love nothing more than being a Superhero when she grows up :)
Love ~ Our Huangmei (Hubei) Heart Melter ~ loves being outdoors, playing in the sand or on the swingset, caring for her babydolls, vacuuming, building blocks, drawing, and all things that are not a nap. Quite possibly the sweetest child ev-ah!!
Living the abundant life ~ loving my God, my "exotic" man, our 4 beautiful children, and trying to be the wife and mom I was called to be. Our greatest blessings are our four amazing children - our son and oldest child "Hunter", our oldest daughter "Faith", our middle daughter "Hope" and our youngest daughter and newest addition "Love". This blog serves as my way of documenting the ins and outs of our day to day life.
